What is your Magician up to? Is you Magician keeping you in a constant state of being undecided? Is your Magician tricking you into believing you are the pain you’ve experienced? Is your Magician being a trickster in the world, in your relationships? Are you taking time to reflect? Are you spending time alone? What experiences or tools are you using to contact and support your Magician energy?
The Magician is the path to figuring things out. The Magician is represented by the bear, the bear going into the cave to hibernate and withdrawal from the world. Like the bear we must withdrawal from the world. We must enter the vast wilderness within in order to find answers to our most burning questions or to find the path to overcome obstacles.
In what ways might you be expressing too much of this energy? In what ways might you want to cultivate this energy? In what ways are you allowing this energy to create difficulties in your life or to keep you from your true path? Are you open to alternatives, are you open to creativity?

Magician / Judge
What is your Judge up to? Like the Magician s/he can keep you in a constant state of indecision. The question is, is this a good thing or has it gone on too long?
There is a lot we can learn from not knowing, from staying in a state of discernment. Learning often stifles once we have come to some answer, judgement or conclusion.
Do we have enough information to really get to the truth of a matter? Or has the matter just gone on too long to bare any more fruit?
This may sound unrelated at first, but perfectionism is a big part of this. Some times to achieve perfection or excellence our efforts need a persistent discipline, but sometimes we carry on this way relentlessly for no important reason; like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This can be as hard on others as it is on our self.
People often fall to the far ends of two poles related to this element: those who are Overly Controlling and those who lack enough control / discipline.
Yin and Yang / Feminine and Masculine are in every element, but often will have more characteristics that line up with a certain side. The qualities of Air element are considered more feminine or yin. But without a certain measure of Yang or Masculine attributes the Air element will be imbalanced. Or if the Air element has an over abundance of Masculine attributes it will also cause an imbalance that disables its proper functioning.
From the virtues list above, if you added your number of negatives and they surpass your positives then you are probably air deficient. However, if you did not take the time to add these up you can simply ask yourself the following questions:
Are you uncontrollably adrift?
If you are feeling like you have no control of your direction in life and/or have anxiety and/or depression, and a lack of vitality; this is an indication that you are deficient in the air element. So in addition to the virtues and archetypes listed above, you may also want to summon some of the earth qualities; as earth supports air.
From the virtues list above, if you added your number of negatives and they surpass your positives then you are probably air excessive. However, if you did not take the time to add these up you can simply ask yourself the following questions:
Are you often trying to control things that are uncontrollable;
or simply not for you to control?
Do you pass judgement upon others quickly?
This indicates excessive air element.
