This Baha'i Inspired Event Is Naturally Free !​
However, you will have to make your way there before you can enjoy it!
And, unless you are already living in Bali, you're going to need a flight.
Also, once you arrive, you are probably going to want food and lodging.
But don't worry, the cost of the comfortable and beautiful lodging we have set aside for you can be held for as little as $9 to $25 per night, and healthy food averages just $3 to $5 per meal. (USD)

We are able to offer such great lodging and prices because we have a good relationship with several guesthouses all around the campus where we meet. However, you can also opt for other magnificent lodging in the area, such as one of the nearby eco-palaces with prices ranging from for $50 to $150 to $500 per night. On the other hand, if you are on a tight budget, or realize you are not going to spend much time in your room anyway (or simply like to keep it super simple) there is also dorm style lodging for as low as $6 to $9 per night.

All conference presentations are completely free, as well as free morning yoga classes,
and several* free Acu-Thai Massage Therapy sessions.
(*Depending on how many of our guests opt for it).
We will also take many optional excursions to places that have very nominal entrance fees. However, the event coordinators will pay for transportation and even some of the nominal entrance fees to places like waterfalls, gardens and temples.

Of course flights are not covered, but we do provide free airport pick-up and also have some good travel info provided at the bottom of this page.

This beautiful entrance is actually to a very nice hostel that is just $9 per night.

Previously, meals were covered on our trainings and retreats, but in Bali it just doesn't make sense. There are so many places you can go and the budget range is just as vast. Expect to pay less than $3 for a decent meal on the low end, or $4.50 to $6.50 on average for something relatively awesome.
Please Note:
Currently we are unable to provide any childcare and most children under 12 years old will probably find the program sessions above their heads. However, they will probably like "puppy yoga" option as well as some other alternate activities in the area while parents are in class. Therefore, we are open to Baha'i volunteers in attendance taking turns to make childcare possible. (...Please let us know if you are interested ;)
Accessibilty
Unfortunately Bali's infrastructure does not make it very wheelchair friendly; sidewalks are usually crumbling and stairs are often steep.
So please let us know of any physical or health challenges.

Not For Profit / Optional Donation
Only guesthouse owners, drivers, restaurants, and other (non-Baha'i) locals that assist us will be making a profit from this conference. Baha'i presenters will not be taking any monetary profit, however, they may receive assistance for their travel expenses. However, our not-for-profit organization
is seeking donations to assist presenters with travel expenses as well as those who would like to come but find the travel and lodging expenses too difficult to manage. Therefore, if you would like to make a contribution, please contact Will @ vishwayoga@gmail.com

Flight Info
You will have to get your own flight, but a recent check on cheap0air.com (which also offers financing for flight purchases) is currently turning up flights for less than $1200 ~round trip~ from Cincinnati, USA - and much less than that from larger airports like O'hare, Detroit, JFK and Dulles. This holds true for those coming from other countries as well. For example, if you are coming from south India you might want to check the cost of flights from both Chennai and Bangalore, as these are the bigger airports.

Passport
If you don't have a passport you will want to start working on that pretty soon as it can take 4 to 6 weeks; and even longer if there are any glitches in the process.
VISA On Arrival
From the USA, as well as a long list of other countries [Check the list here], you do not need a pre-ordered VISA to enter Bali, and should opt for the V.O.A. instead. Currently the VOA only costs about $30 and the process is super simple: Exit the airplane, follow the crowd to the VOA line, pay the fee, pass thru immigration and collect your luggage.

Currency Exchange
As you head toward the exit of the airport you will pass by several money exchange services. They all pretty much give you the same rate, but only exchange about $50 to $100. Once you arrive in Ubud, we can show you many nearby places where you can exchange more, whenever needed, and at a much better rate than the exchange services at the airport. (For those coming from the US. It is best to use crisp, like new, $100 bills as you will get a better exchange rate.)
Free Airport Pick Up
We have our own trusted drivers. They will be waiting for you as you exit the airport and holding up a sign with your name. When they drop you off at your room they will not ask you for payment nor a tip. However, 50k IDR ($3.25USD) would be a good amount to tip if you are inclined and we encourage you to do so.

Tipping
is not a part of Balinese culture and you will rarely to never be asked for a tip. Nevertheless, we still encourage giving them, but to do so intelligently. For example, almost anytime someone tips 100k (about $5.50) or more it is quite unheard of among anyone who has spent any time in Bali, and so you run the risk of appearing very gullible and easy to be taken advantage of. On the other hand, when it comes to tipping for a 90min ride from the airport to Ubud, 50k to 100k is quite reasonable.
