Our Guest house options
Please tell us which place you prefer below and we will reserve it for you. However, to be honest, you might find what we offer below at a cheaper price online through sites like booking. com and others. This is a big problem in Bali in that many guesthouse owners have been tricked and locked into contracts that take away their autonomy. For example, Gora Guesthouse gives us a reasonably discounted price of just $24 per night, but online you might find it for as low as $15 per night. Meanwhile, online booking takes up to 50% of their profits. Thus, even if you choose to book a room outside of the options we offer below, we ask that you book directly through the owners (usually via a website) and not through some online booking service.

Everyone is also free to find lodging options of their own,
but we require you to be within a 15min walk from our training campus At Kausala.

Kausala Guest House
Advantages:
Kausala rooms are on the very campus that most of our trainings and retreats are held. They have large main rooms, large bathrooms, and a small refrigerator. There is also a little porch outside the entrance with a table and chairs. However, the best place to enjoy your tea or coffee in the morning is at the Kausala Cafe, also located on campus, and overlooks a serene rice field. The staff are always close by to help you with most anything, such as bringing food to your porch table or going on an errand for you out in the town.

Disadvantages:
The swimming pool is quite small. However, our neighbors at Gora Guesthouse allow our Kausala guests to use their pool.

$19 / per night

Gora Guest House
Advantages:
If you like to swim or hang out by a pool, Gora will be the better choice. They have 2 pristine swimming pools. (One tiny and one large). Rooms are about as nice as Kausala but smaller. They have a small refrigerator and the 3rd/top floor (if you can get one) has a great view.

Disadvantages:
The rooms at Gora are smaller than Kausala and only have showers, no bathtubs. The bed is also king size which, although rather nice, takes up a lot of space.

*If you register quick enough you might get a top floor (upon request) which has an amazing Mountain View!

$24 / per night

Purnama di Bisma
Advantages:
Purnama is where the directors of the trainings and retreats choose to stay. The rooms are very nice but nothing fancy. However, they are incredibly spacious. Even outside the door you will find a huge balcony that could easily hold like 10 yoga mats; so it's great for a personal practice or to have your friends over. The best thing about Purnama, however, is a great view. It is surrounded by emerald green rice fields and, on a clear day, you can see Mt Batur in the distance (if you get a 2nd or top floor). It's also just a 2 minute walk from our training campus at Kausala.
Disadvantages:
Although they do not have a pool, you can use one of the pools at one of our other guesthouse options.
Note: Not all beds have canopies like the one in the image.

$15 / per night

Puri Bayu
Puri Cantik
Advantages:
Puri Bayu & Puri Cantik are our next door neighbors. The owner is a great cook and the accommodation (usually) offers free breakfast. The rooms are all really different and really beautiful, and at different sizes and prices too. And, for just a relatively little extra, they have a small 3 room apartment equipped with a living room, kitchen and a gorgeous, enormous, partially outdoor bathroom. In fact, if you like the idea of an outdoors-like shower or bath, some of the other guest rooms have this option as well..

Disadvantages:
They do not have a swimming pool. (However, you can use the pool at Gora or Kausala next door).

$25 to $35 / per night

Casa Luna
"Honeymoon Guest House"
Yes, I suppose it is a bit strange to show a deluxe bathroom pic for HGH but it does show an attention to detail and uniqueness. However, if you are interested in staying here, you'll have to do it on your own, and so you're going to want to go to their website...
...to choose a "room." As you may already be assuming, they are more expensive. However, you might be surprised, as a place like this in the US or Uk would probably be several hundred dollars per night. Furthermore, as our friend and neighbor, HGH offers our guests 15% off for whatever room they choose. They also have many price points and all of the rooms are different.

Note: "Standard" rooms at HGH are definitely nice but, frankly, not much nicer than the rooms provided at Kausala, Gora, or Puri Bayu; esp for the money. In other words, it is when you opt for the "Deluxe" & "Superior" rooms at HGH that you will experience something extraordinary.

$75 to $150 / per night

In Da Lodge
Advantages:
This is another one you will have to book on your own. It's an international backpackers hostel; and It really is as gorgeous throughout as its entrance pic suggests. This makes it a bit more than other hostels, at about $9 per night, but it is far better than other hostels as well. Nevertheless, there are other hostels in the area for around $6 per night. But, again, In Da Lodge is a special place. If you have a few more dollars to spare, it is well worth the extra $3 or so per night. And, besides having a beautiful campus, they have a well kept pool and a nice restaurant with good prices.
Disadvantages:
You will have to share a room with others. However, there are usually not more than 6 in a room and the people -being international travelers- are probably among the most interesting you will ever meet!
